My senior project took me all semester to research, write and edit, but now its done. I decided to share it with you all. Its a slim 22 pages, which was editted down from 28. I'm sure most of you won't know anything about the topic so it will be a learnign experience. Please feel free to let me know what you think.

History major I take it?

Yup, history is the only major I notice people having fun while they're doing. Yeah writing a lot sucks, but its writing about somethign you (should) love, so most history majors really enjoy what they do.

Well I made the mistake of taking a course at UF that was designed for the history majors, I was just taking it because it sounded interesting and I needed the type of credit that it would give me. It was one of the most convoluted non-sensical courses that I have ever had the displeasure of taking. Apparently, I took the one professor in the history department who was known as king fail and that gave all the history majors avoided like the plague, but had to take because he taught some of the more interesting core classes.
Either way, I got my arse handed to me by him. For example, for one of the essays it was how did the industrial revolution effect the agricultural revolution. I got back a big fat F on it, he was going over everything in it in class and I had every single thing that he mentioned in it. So I went up after class to ask him why I got an F when I had all the things in it. His answer was, you wrote how the agricultural revolution effected the industrial revolution, therefore you didnt answer the question and even if you did have the stuff there it was backwards. I told him he that I might have messed up the title, but my stuff was correct. He said, he didnt care. This would teach me to be more careful in the future. Bastard.

what are you looking at doing after college canta? one of my friends became a history major because that's the classes she found herself really enjoying, but as she reaches graduation, she doesn't see many options in her field. I think she's settled on becoming a history teacher, but i'm just curious to hear what other career paths one might take with that background! :)

I'm going to get my masters definitly. After that, if I have the credentials to get into a good doctoral program I will, otherwise I'll take my masters and go teach high school until I can get my historical fiction writign career going, which may be a long time.

not bad. my brother has nearly completed his undergrad studies in history and will be going for his masters/doctorate shortly.
i noticed you stuck something in about this site..."Byzantium achieved the apex of its glory...." lol
the only thing i didn't like was that i hate reading times new roman font. especially when it's (semi)technical writing.
