DDR400 is the last official stop for DDR.

Its not rdram, thats been on its way out in terms of the PC market ever since Intel dumped it.

In terms of consoles: rdram was used in Nintendo 64, is used in Playstation 2 and future Playstation 3 (http://news.com.com/2100-1001-979340.html)

Rambus legal problems still continue. (http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/memory/display/20030505121314.html) Rambus brought its troubles on itself by suing memory makers and engaging in underhanded attempts to force its will.

There is also Kentron's QBM, but thats going to be a niche product.

Very likely its DDRII-its got lower voltage requirements compared to DDR. DDRII is where everyone is going and the speeds can be clocked up. Its still relatively rare though.

The GeForceFX 5800 {ultra} uses DDRII. Its switching back to DDR for the upcoming GeForce 5900 {ultra).

In terms of system memory it won't be mainstream until 2004.
