Speaking of In & Out burgers... check this (http://www.genmay.com/showthread.php?threadid=123603&perpage=15&pagenumber=2) out. I could probably finish two double-doubles, but not that! Thats like ordering one huge steak.

Personally I think the best fries are from Genos steaks in Philly..has something to do with the fact that they still use animal fat to fry them in.

Best Shake - well I happen to think that In N Out has pretty good shakes, but it doesnt seem to be real ice cream. So I would have to say that home made shakes. - so I do.

Classic Vanilla Shake: In n Out
Fancy Cookie Shake (i.e. Oreo): Jack in the Box
Fries: Arby's
Fancy Fries (i.e. curly/criss-cut): tie between Arby's & Carls Jr.
Potato Wedges: KFC, all the way
Onion rings: probably Carls Jr., but I cant really tell the difference (as long as they're fresh, not stale)

I have to give McD the nod for their fries... their shakes weren't bad... till they started using yogurt in them...

As for shakes the regular flavors (van/choc/straw) In-n-Out's shakes are quiet good. But for the other flavored ones like cookies and cream or mint choc chip, Jack-in-the-Box is very tastey.

I can't believe how many people like McD fries. I guess you guys get good batches because everytime I get them (though I rarely eat there) they are edible, but not the best at all.

Wll, as for me:

Shakes: Watson's Drugs (well, malts)
Fries: Arby's or BK

I couldn't have said it better, though I like Burger King and Jack-in-the-Box's fries as well.

The best shake I had in a long time was the "Dulce de Leche" caramel shake that Del Taco had a few months ago. God I must sound like a pig.

when you order fries always ask for unsalted ones then they are forced to make a fresh batch. When you get them then you ask for salt. :P
