so the campus sports rec. center here on campus is getting a nice rebuild of their building structure adding many things such as a new climbing wall, an indoor track above some basketball courts, and many other things. Among the new rooms is a room dedicated to Martial arts. From what I understand, the size of it will be two olympic size contest area (one contest area is 53'x53'). Granted this is for general martial arts, but since we are the only martial arts sports club, we have priority! :D meaning we can use it whenever we want! yay! So i can work out from 6 in the morning to 12pm at night if i want. :D
The downside, apparently they are using a simulation tatami out of some dense padding. I tried some break falls on a sample and it sure is hard as hell. :( Luckly I've been with the club for 4 years (longer than most members) and I'm close enough to being an officer for the club. So I ithink I can convince the club in to buying softer mats to put over it, cause sometimes i don't feel like hitting a truck when taking a fall.
...not that any of you care, but I'm happy.
