View Full Version : What seems hopeless?

There are some topics I think will never get resolved. I have personal beliefs about pro-life vs abortion (which I won't mention here). But I just can't see it possible for everyone to ever agree on it.

Anything else that seems hopeless? Middle east peace?

What women want. No what they really want.

You know, I've never seen the abortion debate on this board. You know I believe that.... Just kidding. I think we haven't brought it up because it's just too much of a downer. I'd try and force it into softerside where I won't be tempted to read it.

Oh, Evolution. I don't see any good way out of that one unless we achieve super warp speeds and can watch the creation of the earth in super speed. (Pass the photons from that time and then travel back towards the earth)

Oh and Brain, is this inspired by the UCSD abortion protest? Man was that wrong. I kept seeing parents taking their kids to the library and then turning back. There was also an elementary school tour of Geisel that had to be cancelled.

no it had nothing to do with that protest. I wasn't on campus to see it. I was just wondering.

Liberal/Conservative.

Personally, I don't think that issue should ever be "resolved". That's why our republic works so well, because as much as I think conservative values and ideas are right, without the balance of a liberal argument, we could get into deep trouble. And vice-versa for liberalism.
