If you really want to get away from it all, I highly recommend the South Pacific.


If I want to get away from it all and still speak English, I can just go back to western Ireland. The town of Dingle has only about 1,500 people and 54 pubs. There you can get away from it all and forget about it too. ;)

Drive to the mountains, look for a nice canyon, ditch the car and just go for a nice long walk. Return 3 days later, tired, starving and ready to deal with civilization again.

Camping at Cascade Lake on Orcas Island - away from sirens, traffic, and nearly all trappings of civilization. I may go in the next few weeks, hopefully with a chicka. ;)

Strapping on my tanks and going down a hundred feet under the calm blue ocean waters. Swimming in between the canyons of coral, looking under ledges for sharks and lobsters. Following a sand spur only to come face to face with a 6ft green moray. Nothing better in the world...other than, well you know. :naughty:
