I pay $40 dollars for my shoes. And can you imagine getting that much money at 18? Think of the car you could get, two words - stupid fast.

i pay nearly $100 for shoes but they aren't nikes. :)

it costs pennies to make nikes and now you know where all the $99.xx goes towards -- endorsements.

i dont like that guy, and it bothers me that they compare him to MJ or Magic. :nono:
he's another kobe. he thinks he's the sh|t.

one thing i DID like was that when some guy asked him what he was gonna do with his first million, he said he'd buy a house for his mom.

Montrail Boots - 2 years ago - 300 dollars
Ken Cole Shoes - 2 years ago - 100 dollars
Dr. Martens Shoes - 2 years ago - 100 dollars
Nike Airs - 2 years ago - 30 bucks
Vans - last year - 40 bucks
Dr. Martens Shoes - this week - 50 bucks
Dr. Martens boots - this week - 50 bucks

I see a downward sloping trends.

I don't support the stars as much with my shoe purchases.

Well, the kid is pretty amazing. Danny Ainge was on the radio a couple of months ago and said he was the best high school player he's ever seen...better than Kobe, T-Mac or anyone at that level.

But Kobe and T-mac NEVER had the kind of expectations or $$$ thrown at him that Lebron has.

I usually pay whatever, cause I always have a tough time finding shoes... damned size 16's! I don't like basketball shoes (too big) so I usually order my stuff online. Nike Custom ID ones I have were ~$90, Sketchers dress shoes were $50ish.

:stupid: We are both in the same neighborhood show wise. My Allen Edmunds were $300, my Aquatalias were $280, and I need to get some more shoes.

That said, those are my dress/work shoes. I have some Kenneth Coles that were about $130 or so that I wear for casual use and some nice Skeetchers that I wear in inclement weather such as snow, rain, or parties.

As for my regular footwear...I normally wear Birks (so $90+) or Chucks ($30) for everyday activity. I have tennis shoes and basketball shoes (both Nike) but they are over 5 years old each.

I remember paying $180 for original Air Jordans when they first came out. They were good shoes.. then again the Bo Jackson cross trainers sucked, I went through a pair in a day. (The store took them back and I got something different)

For regular shoes should not be more than $30, and for dress shoes
should not be more than $100....

I watched Suicide Kings (http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hv&cf=info&id=1800024938&intl=us) last night, and a big part of the movie was that Christopher Walken's henchman paid $1500 for eelskin boots, and the henchman's partner kept makin fun of him for it. Good movie. Expensive shoes

i paid around $70 for the last pair of NB running shoes i bought (overpriced....they aren't all that comfortable).

right now, i usually pay $30-$50 for dress shoes at Marshall's (but they're shoes that would cost around $100 normally).

if i have more $$ someday, i would say that $150-$300 is a reasonable range for dress shoes.
