I have an MD. too bad the technology isn't going anywhere. Sony too damn proprietary again..

Go buy an MP3 player instead.. You'll thank me later.

Not sure what you mean not going anywhere. It has its niche market just like DAT does. MD quality is still superior to MP3 any day. This is really evident in REAL music like classical and jazz works rather than the pop junk out there. MD is for a different market really but just so happens tries to cater for the ones that would be better for MP3 players. Nothing beats MD for recording live concerts or doing field recording for much cheaper than DAT.
