and I catch the darn things on fire!!!

It was my bad, I was getting close to getting done and I put too many in the microwave and I turn it on, turn around to cut some more and I smell them -- BURNING! I turn around to see them on fire in the oven!

And before this happened, I was using tupperware to hold the litter that acts as the drying agent in the microwave and melted a hole in the tupperware!!!

put then in foil. it works much better...at catching fire that is.

what was wrong with just hanging them to dry technique?

Time. I need them tomorrow. Microwaving preserves the color :)

I have never dried flowers before, but concidering when I have cut flowers in the house, they last less than a week, I figured that if the GS troop put the flowers in cat litter last week, we would have it this week for arangements. Well, they didn't dry.

yea when i was 11 i did that to one of my pet doves named Topanga... i was curious what would happen (not knowing the reaction that occurs in a microwave) and after about 2 seconds the bird went crazy and went flailing and began spitting up its birdseed.

it was extremely traumatizing b/c i didnt know what just happened. nice ending to the story was that it didnt die b/c i nursed it back to health with every fiber of my being. for 3 days that bird was my life and it lived for a good 4 years after that :bandit:

she was a fighter

Yeah, I actually did this to my underwear once. I forgot to put them in the dryer the night before after washing them, so when I got up in the morning I had no drawers... Then  I got the idea, I tossed em in the microwave and went to shave.

I came back to find the kitchen engulfed in smoke and my underwear on FIRE. I grabbed em out, but it was hopeless. I couldn't save them.

It turns out the elastic bursts into flames long before the cotton does. Even worse, my whole house smelled like burnt undies for 3 days.
