Not bad... of course the graphics were great, the voices were great.. Ellen Degeneres (sp??) does a great job! She was the stand out character in the film.

But then again, very sad.. made me want to cry through the whole thing. It had some funny parts, but a lot of deep thinking parts too.

BUT anyway... the short before the movie was called Knick Knack. It was very cute and funny. Made about 6 years before Toy Story. Very cute :)

Great movie... I'm not sure if it's still there, but you used to be able to see knick knack on the pixar site.

It was "sad" as the girl to the right of me started crying, and it did make you think just about how much your parents sacrificed for you and their intentions behind it... Yeah... I'll stop being a sap.

Saw it last night. Graphics of course was spectacular. Story was good. Ellen Degeneres was the highlight of the movie. Her character makes up and breaks up some of the slower parts and keeps the movie funny and uplifting. Without the character I think half the audience would cry to themselves to death or commit suicide from a story full of downers.

I saw it today with Dopey and the kiddos...

I Loved it!!!

It was *so* cute!! and I loved how funny Dory was.... it was so cute...and the ending was just great!!!

and the trailer with the bears and stuff before it, have EVERYONE laughing...if anyone else saw that trailer!

I loved it as well...I really really love Pixar movies. This one was great. Very very funny.

Btw I was there with a bunch of friends, and half of the people there were under the age of 9 or so. It's quite funny to watch the movie with such an audience. There were some parts where everyone laughed, some parts where the kids laughed, and some parts where only the older folks laughed. Gotta love Pixar movies.

Btw did anyone see the trailer for Pixar's next movie? That one was great! I can't wait!!!

In our Java class at brown, there was a session called "Computer Graphics" where we basically watched all the pixar shorts as well as some behind the scenes renders (the next class was called "Advanced Computer Graphics" where we watched Toy Story).

The prof teaching that class was a huge big shot (Andres Van Dam) who has tons of ties to Pixar, hence that's how we got all the shorts and other renders (including a sequence of Woody kissing Buzz...that was disturbing)...

ANYWAY...he told us there was a purpose to every single short made before toy story, including Geri's Game. In Knick Knack, it was to test particle effects (the snow in the snowman's jar). In Geri's game, it was to test skin effects. In any case, they always make funny stuff.

Oh btw, if you haven't seen it or will see it again, stay for the entire credits. They have all the fish swim by, doing something funny. They're pretty entertaining by themselves.

We had one in the row in front of us who was being an ass. He kept yelling Wheres Nemo, I found Nemo etc. I could hear him throughout the movie because he was making comments and he wanted to be heard. Jackass. :mad:

There were lots of little kids screaming NEMO! NEMO! in the movie theater when I saw it too but it's expected in a movie like this, so I didn't get mad. I get mad when parents let their kids run loose in the rows and aisles because THEY are too into the movie. There was a kid who kept turning around and sitting up in his seat in front of me, was a bit annoying. I just gave him an ugly face and he started crying and THEN his mother took care of him:cool:

I saw it last night on a DLP theatre. The graphics alone made it worth my money, but the story was great as well. This movie is definitely going to be joining the rest of the Pixar movies in my library.

I just saw it thanks to Ralph's Club and my purchases. I thought i was great, although all movie long I was sitting there going is Marlin Al Brooks? My ears definitely heard right, because it was in fact Al Brooks.

Other than that, I guess I missed some cuts at the end because I left after the credits played for a few minutes....the theater apparently decided that Air Conditioning was a luxury that the customers could do without...so I was covered in sweat. :angry: Either way, the film was good and I will probably pick it up when it comes out on disc.

Now did anyone else happen to notice that at one point the music was the same as little mermaids? "Life is better, where it is wetter, undoably, life is better where it is wetter, Under the sea..."

I think this is becoming a trend. I remember a time when half the reason for going to the movie theater was because it was hot out and movie theaters were always really well air conditioned. But lately, all of the theaters around me don't seem to have it turned on and I just roast.

This is probably the third time this has happened, so I think its just luck of the draw for me. But at the same time, this is just another reason why I prefer to just wait a few months until it comes out on DVD. I control the temperature, the concessions are reasonably priced, I dont have to worry about someone sitting in front of me and blocking my view (unless my damn dog decides to stand in front of me), and in general, I have better sound. On top of that, I get to keep the movie.
