oh wow...I can't watch my home baseball team on tv...should I go drive down to the stadium?
nah, I'll just do something else.
Baseball has the worst management in history. They have this huge following, but manage to kill their own market share and interest. Yeah, raising ticket and concession prices will bring in more people to the games. Screwing fans with $20 parking fees, no local tv coverage, bad teams with no interest in getting better will surely increase the fan base. Forcing cities to pay for $400 million dollar stadiums, then raise prices, dump salary and suck is a great way to promote the team.
