With my unexpected unenjoyment coming up (and the resulting hit to my wallet), my meditation retreat to Switzerland will have to wait. I'm looking for some resources on meditation - books, websites, etc.

Pick up a dime bag and an enigma cd and you're well on your way.

Does zoning out and staring at the wall count?

I usually sit down and close my eyes and think about things. I think it's pretty relaxing, thought i wouldn't be sure to call it meditating.

I do. I use some Judo breathing/mind clearing techniques when I particularly stressed during a busy day. They don't take too long and afterward allow me to better focus on tasks at hand.

I do some Judo breathing when I spend extended periods of time on the toilet, but I'm not working on clearing my mind. You're right - it doesn't take too long and after I finish up the paperwork there, I can focus on the real paperwork at hand. :hmm:
