Wouldn't get it---bad experiences with refurbished stuff.

I'll second that. I'll buy refurbished phones, stereos, even computers. But I'll always stay away from refurbished monitors. It just seems that once a monitor is flakey, it's always flakey.

My mom bought the $150 refurbished 17" HP monitor from Buy.com. It quit after 33 days - too late to send back to Buy.com. Fortunately, HP has great CS, and will send her a new monitor as soon as she faxes them her proof-of-purchase. They don't even want the old one back!
