i got this game a long time ago, but never had the chance to play it. now i have some free time.

does anyone know how to keep cities from dying?

i know how to play, but for some reason, my cities always die after about 10 years. really frustrating. how can i keep up all the demands, AND still rake in enuf money?

I've been playing 3000 too much, I forget if you can sell utilities to your neighbors in 2000 but that always seemed to be a relatively easy source of income.

Other than that...hmm, try to keep things neat and orderly. And don't build stuff too fast or the demand will drop. I remember once I took a successful city and copied it square for square on a brand new city i had used a money cheat on but the new one never populated...it just sat there.

Hehe yeah if you really want money to mess around with a city just type porntipsguzzardo and it'll give you a bunch of cash. I can't remember if that is the cheat that causes earthquakes or not, but if it is - just do it a bunch of times as soon as you start your city so that there won't be anything to catch on fire.
