yeah I bought a nice little drug company and it's up about 12% in the past week. :D

some other ones that have been beaten down pretty bad have recovered very nicely. But I'm not sure how long this will last.

My parents had Adaptec for a while (makers of SCSI cards and fine CD burning software at the time). They bought at 24, it went up up up to 56, and I said "SELL NOW!!! They will get bought out!" A few weeks later, before Roxio bought em out, it dropped to 16.

Ooooooh how they didn't like the phrase "told ya so" :P

yeah, i'm a firm believer that old people shouldn't invest in tech stocks. it's us young geeks that know the tech sector best....and know which products are good and which ones are bad.

From what I have been reading, this is a temporary blip in a long run bear market.
But then, Americans have had a history of irrational exuberant behavior.

[shakes head] Another 20-25% and I'll be back to where I was in early 2000. [/shakes head]

The stock market recovery is nice, if it is long term, but I'm waiting for the job market to return.

You're going off the assumption that the companies with the best products will do the best in the stock market. Sadly, we know that's not always the case. I know of a lot of franchises with better hamburgers than McDonald's, but look at the stock prices....
