Nope, I don't know an older person who I feel knows that much more about life than I do to the extent that I would look up to them for advice on all subjects.

You'll get over that...!
Not slamming you or trying to be mean, but there will come a time when you will look back at your life and say "I didn't know half of what I thought I did..." And you'll honestly feel stupid for a lot of the stuff you did and said. For me that was when I was about 30.
I read that the human brain isn't completely developed until you are somewhere in your mid-twenties. I believe that this lack of development in some people manifests itself in the "I know it all" syndrome. It's not that you know it all, it's that your brain isn't developed enough to even comprehend how much there is to know!
I speak from experience. I acted much like you do when I was your age.
As far as mentors are concerned, I would love to find an older man who would keep me accountable and teach me from his experience. I once had a friend I would consider a "mentor", but he moved away. I try to call him at least once a year, I probably should do it more often. At first glance, most people would consider him a real doofus (he's your classic old engineer type - ill fitting clothes, messy hair, always trying to solve some mechanical/electronic problem) but that guy has an uncanny ability to take your problem and distill it down to the least common denominator, which never seems as bad as you thought.

Yup...one of my college professors.
She is in the same line of work that I'm in (music ed) and she's awesome. Wish I had a mp3 of our choir...we're not bad! :)

I look up to my dad. He gives me all the advice that I need.
