View Full Version : Signing over a check to someone else - HOW?
Does anyone know how to have a check signed over to someone else? I had someoen sign me over his paycheck, he just signed it and put "Pay to <my name>" on the back. Will a bank deposit this?
Welp, Bank denied the check. Mother****ers.

Most banks (around here anyway) will only accept a 3rd party check if you deposit it.
If you tried to deposit it and were refused, you either need a better bank or a better friend! :D

Actually, most banks won't accept 3rd party checks anymore (at least the ones around here).
The only one that I know of that will do it is Fleet.

Sometimes banks require that the person signing the check over must be present when the deposit is made. I think Fifth Third does this.
The GUY was my dad :( I think the teller was just a bitch. I think maybe she thought I looked shady, who knows, cause they let my mom deposit it. She just went ahead and wrote me a check for the same amount.
