chapter 16 on the dvd made the whole movie worthwhile.
other than that, the movie was mostly pointless, cliched, and stupid. i'm sorry, but the plot doesn't make any sense. here you have a tough SOB, hard-core racist who causes his son to commit suicide. suddenly, he meets an attractive black woman and has passionate sex with her and all is right with the world. he buys a gas station, brings home his new lover, and suddenly likes black people.
how would that ever happen in the real world? it's not that i expect all movies to be realistic, but in a movie like this that is trying to be gritty and reflective of emotions and feelings, etc, i would expect the actions of the characters to have some relation to reality. and this movie failed in that area. but still, damn.....halle is hot :love:
