Buy.com has the IBM deskstar 75GXP 7200 rpm Ultra/ATA 100 HD for $159. You can also tack on the $30 off coupon posted here earlier. http://www.us.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10245434&loc=474

Please note that the retail version is $175 you have to look for this one. It is not mindblowing but it is a nice drive for a good price.
-I was looking at the specs and the title says Ultra/ATA-100 but the specs say 66. This could explain the price difference.

It looks like in fact the hard drive is ATA/100, although the specs on buy.com seem off. If it is the desktar 75GXP then you don't have to worry about it. Excellent deal.

IBM's 75 GXP hard drives are in fact ATA/100. The reason why IBM just doesn't come out and say they are is because Quantum has a stick up its butt (or it used to) in regards to the ATA/100 name.

Can I borrow $130 from someone? I could REALLY use this. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Otherwise I will have to wait until I get $200 worth of Amazon gc again to get a 30GB.

MAn... You could have someone else get you one useing the coupon and get a Promise Ultra ATA 66 card and mod if and have 60GB on RAID for $300. Awesome.

I looked at IBM and yeah it is ATA-100. Buy.com customer service was not very helpful. I just had this nightmare of posting my first deal and having it screwed up.

The retail version comes with rails and a cable. The oem version is just a bare drive.

Plus, you're more likely to get a disk with one or two utilities on it with a retail drive. I've had OEM jobs that have bundled a floppy with stuff on it, but I've never used it.

The GXP's are damn nice drives. They're up with the top-performers in IDE, and IBM's drives are historically reliable.

I might see if I can swing one. Thanks for the tip! http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

If you go to www.dealhunting.com (http://www.dealhunting.com) they have several buy.com coupons for 30 off 150 for existing customers. I used one for one drive, and another coupon for the second drive. I just placed 2 orders using the 2 different coupons. They should be here in a few days. Sweet....
