ANOTHER MP3 PLAYER (i-jam) for about $25

Hey guys, first off, I would like to say I got this off another site. Apparently there's another mp3 player for $25 + tax.

Computers4sure has the i-jam black parallel 32mb player (Item S1095031) for $99

Staples has it for like $299, after price matched --> $99.99
Use $25 off $75 coupon --> $74.99
And plus $50 rebates --> $24.99 + tax

A few ppl has tried ordered it on the phone and it's work so far. Hurry and get in on this deal!

WHAT A HASSLE!

I'm on the phone with staples right now.

The item from computers4sure is USB and not parallel. But is it still for $99 and the item # is S1095031.

However, the item at staples.com is item # im1135004 which is priced at $342.99.

The lady has been a real BITCH lately. At first she told me that they wouldn't price match it, so I persisted and she put me on hold. I originally had the wrong items to be price matched (USB at computers4sure & parallel at staples) so I corrected the item # I gave the lady.

She then put me on hold but forgot to press the hold button, or I don't know what.. so I heard the entire conversation. SHe started talking major **** about me to antoehr worker maybe a supervisor.. repeating what I said in a sarcastic tone... and saying 'now he went ahead and changed the item number on me!"

so... i waited.. and she just came back.. a lady asked her "did he hang up?" and she said "no, he's still on"

she tells me that they are going to have to call me back that they are calling ingram wherehouse? to find out if it is the same product. SHe said that there was someone calling htem right now, that it would be best to give me a call back later.

Me, being the smart ass.. knowing that there is NO WAY IN HELL they are going to call back, went ahead and told her "Oh, it's ok.. i'll wait..."

SO now i'm on hold.. I'm planning on using coupon # 90873 from dealhunting.com for $25 off $75 purchase and free shipping...

I doubt this is going to work! I MIGHT get the player for $99 but I HIGHLY doubr they will let me use the coupon.. considering all the drama i have been through so far! I've been on the damn phone for 1 hour!!

OK.. here is the deal...

I JUST got off the damn phone with staples. They went ahead and gave me the player for the pricematch of $99. I used the coupon no problem, brought it down to $74.

BUT.. the total ended up being $90.81 because they charged me tax and SHIPPING. I told the lady that the coupon I used was for free shipping, but she told me since computers4sure charged me $8.10 shipping, she had to also.

So.. basically.. I got it for about $16 cheaper than computers4sure....

the thing is though.. I think they might have charged me tax two times.. because the lady told me that the final price with shipping and taxes after the price match was $108.09 plus tax @ .0825 = $117 - $25 = $92

I don't know.. there always seems to be a couple of dollars discrepancy.. either way.. I think i'll just go down to my local staples store once I get it.. and return it with no receipt =>

that way I make the full price back.. hopefully NOT in store credit!!

hehe.. I just got off the phone with my local staples..

They told me that without a receipt and if they carry it, the best they can do is give me store credit..

so i might get $342 store credit for $90.81 purchase.. hehe...

I think i'll buy me 128 megs of ram!

LOL, that reminds me of that one dude who bought norton pricematched and went back the next day to the same manager and got full store credit. Hehe, geniuses in retail at work.

guys, kinda new here. I want in on this deal but how do I go about doing it?

I called my local Staples and they will price match provided I go and show them a printout of the MP3 player listed for $99. No problem there but they say that the 'discount codes' are for online purchases only. Ok, fine. But then the guy tells me that they don't price match online. What gives? I'm missing something I know. Please advise. Thanks.

this is what you have to do.
First off, have about 2 hours free.
Then, call 1-800-3STAPLE and go through their automated service.

Talk to a representative and tell him/her that you want to price match the product whose code is listed above for $342.99 with that at for $99 at the computers4sale or whatever the site is.
They are going to hassle you about it being unresonable.. etc etc.. just persue it.. tell them that they have to price match it.

After a while, they will finally give in. Thats when you use the code to get $25 off. Give them a CC # and you're set.

WOW.. i dunno if I messed up.. or not...

BUT.. I got my I-jam TODAY .. and I ordered it on wed!! FAST HUH!
well.. i called the credit card to see if staples was going to pull one of their double-switches again.. where they later charge you the difference in price (happened to me with the damn $100 off $150 coupon http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/biggrin.gif)

so.. I called.. and there was NO BILL from staples..
the funny thing is... I received the package too!!

SOO... i called staples to make sure everything was straight.. and it turns out.. they had no order on file for it! I gave him the CC .. thinking that I can't scam them THAT HARD.. and it turned out to be on some other menu for pricematched stuff....

I wanted to order another one.. but th eguy told me I could only use the coupon once... so.. i'll wait until tomorrow .. with a different CC and have someone else.. pick up.. and order another one!! heheh
