The ad is a bit confusing but it says:1) $69.98 - $15 instant savings - $30 mail-in rebate = $24.94
2) $24.94 before $20 mail-in rebate
3) “In-Store Savings” so I’m guessing that the additional $20 rebate is a B&M thing, but that isn’t always the case. No details posted on this additional $20 rebate.
As usual, be there when the doors open on Sunday if you want these great deals.

IF this deal is available on-line and IF the $10 off 50 coupon code 77375 from the Deals page is still valid (expiration date unknown), you can actually make a few bucks.
Of course be at you computer at 12:01 a.m. on Sunday to order because they will sell out fast.

so has anyone tried this yet?
just waiting to see if it works
It's definitely a no-go. It was a typo and they corrected it on the website and the flier.
I stopped by a local Staples this afternoon with a printout of the old price ($24.94 before $20 rebate). First, it wasn't even marked down to $54.94. It took me about 20 min to convince them it was really on sale by asking the sales person to login to their own website. And then when I showed them the printout, they didn't recognized it as a printout from Staples.com.
It was a "Just-Link" version anyway. So I really didn't spent too much time arguing over the price since I knew I wasn't getting one anyway (even at $5).

I believe the $10 coupon is still good. Final price is then $14.94 with free shipping. Not as hot but still, not too bad.
Other forums identify this drive as a rebadged Lite-On and recognizes it as such upon boot-up. Look for Model number RW5252 just above the UPC bar code.

I went early that Sunday morning and brought the ad w/ me, and they price matched it to their website. I ended up paying $34.94 before the $30 mir, but that was before they changed their ad
Over at FW, people were having mixed results. Some were getting rebadged Lite-On units and others AOpen. My local store didn't have any Lite-Ons (the box read "Just-Link", which probably means it was an AOpen unit).
I ordered on-line hoping I would get a Lite-On. We'll see. BTW, with the $10 coupon it came out to be around $18 with tax. Not flaming hot, but it's not a bad deal (especially if it is a Lite-On).
