Do you like dubbed or undubbed?

I just finished two different animes.

GTO, and the Irresponsible Captain Tylor. Now, partly it's the writing and the story development, but i really didn't like the ICT series b/c i watched that one in english.

i really like original japanese anime in original undubbed formats. as much as funny as they sound, the japanese really do a good job setting the tone and environment with their voiceovers. the "hakujin" (white man) just don't do it enough justice.

what do you like? now just remember, this is only for animation stuff. don't take foreign flicks into it.

Actually I like undubbed with english captions.

Definitly undubbed. Whenever the english voice actors say a japanese word or name, it makes me cringe. It might not if I didn't know any Japanese, but it does now. The only series that didn't do that for me was DBZ. They did a great job dubbing that, I even think it's better than the origional (I never could stand goku's origional voice).

To put it in plain english, American voice actors suck balls. It's like they put no effort in to it.

I have only seen a few films that did a good job of dubbing, so I would have to say that I prefer subtitles to dubbing. However, with most anime, its not as noticeable so I dont mind it as much.

Dubbed or Subbed? Definitely the Subbed. I most of the time the dubbed language can't capture the nuances of the original language.

Subbed most of the time. With the exception of Macross Plus. Somehow, I can't watch that one Subbed.

can't understand why people like the dubbed version of anything. it just sounds weird that way. not authentic.

not always...i have not see the original dragonball z's, but I hate the dubs on cartoon network. specially when they screen and stuff. URGH!
