I was all ready for the new Matrix movie, saw it and was totally disappointed! If I wanted fighting on a string, I would have watched Crouching Tiger again. I think that instead of the 3rd sequel, they could have eliminated alot of crap on the 2nd and made an awesome movie! What are your thoughts on this?

well, for me, i enjoyed the movie. i went in with no expectations...therefore i couldn't be disappointed, and i wasn't. i thought the story was well done. but, the fighting was OVERdone. however, just a side note.

you can watch ANY hk martial arts movie, and you'll get that. it's just a style that the US is catching on now, but it's been done over and over again. it never got tiring when i watched hk movies, but when they overkill it, then it does get a LITTLE monotonous.

I was expecting alot of what the first movie was about, the shooting and guns. Then again, I play alot of FPS games, I felt like they made the scenes longer than they should have.

i agree, i wanted more fun... i mean guns too.... the guns kicked ass in the first movie and are PURELY what the videogame is about so why not in the movie, im confused, wouldnt you figure that neo would be able to hit any agent with a gun then, as for the strong stuff, it wasnt over done, it was cool.

I watched it recently on a vcd. We get them and don't watch them right away. I hope the 3rd one is better!

SACRILEDGE!
Off the internet, most likely....
Internet VCDs are for movies that you want to see, but aren't worth the $5 price to see them (Old School, Jackass...)
Seriously, this movie should have been enjoyed the way the director intended...with 6-channel sound and a HUGE screen.

I saw it on the IMAX screen at Luxor, and I don't see why I needed to see that movie. :thumbdown.

I felt letdown by the movie. For some reason, I couldnt wait for some of the scenes to end.

I paid 5 bucks here in San Diego by using an AMC Movie Pass or something like that. You can get them in those Gold Coupon Books that they sell around here. The book has I think 4 coupons and you can get up to 12 tickets with each. Even when you go see a tank of a movie it's not so bad when you only spend 5 bucks, you know?
By the way anyone else a Moviewatcher? I am kind of curious as to the rewards after 100 points. I hit 100 and I got a free movie pass :thumb:

Yeah.. "Dollar Movies" .. Watching them later (which is cheaper then renting them..) not sure why more people dont go to them.. I go occasionally... havent even really been to a Regular New Release movie lately though either.. Watched XMEN 2 For Free here on the Boat.. and The Core for free ... most movies we just watch them here for free.. so.. I tend to not go out seeing them as much.. obviously..

Rather than resurrecting the super-old Matrix Reloaded thread, I figured that I'd put my questions in this thread instead.
Yes, you guessed correctly, I just NOW saw the movie. It was very hard going that long without learning anything about the plot, etc, especially since the MTV Movie Awards gave a few scenes away...
Anyway, here are my questions:
Do you think that they will explain why Agent Smith's host in the "Real World" made two cuts on his hand with his knife and then approached Neo and Co.?
Why couldn't Neo just destroy the Agent Smith army or anyone else for that matter like he had Agent Smith at the end of the first movie?
