Hey everyone... I was considering doing that offer that was posted a while ago. But I was wondering if anyone had done it yet and how the service and reception was. Thanks.

I went for it. It works (but you need reg. access to your email). Microsoft handles their paging. I took their cheapee pager (and traded in a perfectly fine Motorola Flex). Pager itself is chintzy but, service works.

Im doing it. I opted for the more expensive pager. So far Im pretty satisfied, the pager itself is really small and there are a lot of options that you can do with it. I especially like the news and the fact that people can instant message you from the site and having voicemail is pretty cool too. Only draw back is that you get a little advertisment on your pager when you get a message sometimes, but thats no big deal. Hope that helps.

Albeit a rather large one:

(from their FAQ)

The way the program is set up, you will have the option to never have a paging bill again. The pager will notify you when your nearing the 150 pages and you can buy additional 50 page increments @ $7.95 or simply let your pager not receive messages until the following month.

----------

This means 3 pages/day on average (or using them all up in one afternoon if you are the Ops on-call and the servers are acting up)
