i've been doing this with a buddy this year...and makes the game a lot more fun :)
usually a 4 player minimum...about a 10 player maximum
we get a cup...everyone starts off with a 1 buck ante.
one person starts with the cup and the cup gets passed around with every batter.
if a run scores while you're holding the cup...you take the pot, and start over...(ante up). (this includes passed balls, where the runners score... and on errors, when it isn't an rbi)
if your person does anything that doesn't score a runner, you put in one dollar and pass it over.
it's funny when you're at the ballpark, and you're the only one cheering when the other team is scoring.. :)
on top of that...you can give it an extra twist..... everyone put in an extra buck if it's a home run. an error reverses the pot. if it's a double play while your guy is batting, you put in an extra buck...etc etc etc, be creative ;)
