Well, after waiting 12 years they finally made another terminator. Needless to say i've been waiting for it a long long time since i'm a HUGE fan of the second one.
James Cameron didn't want to join the fun this time around so they hired Jonathan Mostow to fill his shoes. And unfortunately you can completely tell. The movie just doesn't have that dark moody feel to it that the first two did. While Cameron could make you feel fear and desperation with just one shot of the T-1000 or even the T-100, this film couldn't do crap with the T-X. And while the first one was filled with action, it seemed purposeful where as in this film theres mindless action left and right, and at times it even gets boring dare i say it. Along with the lighter mood, theres some comic relief sprinkled throughout the movie, which although humorous, seems out of place.
In all honesty for the first half of the movie I thought i was in a horrible nightmare cause the movie was such joke and a dissapointment, but the second half got much better and actually started the storyline.
And as for the ending, I really didn't know what to expect but i thought was absolutely great. Although bittersweet I don't think they could have written a better one. It pretty much wraps everything up in a nice bow.

I laughed almost all the way through the movie. some decent action, although not great... the girl terminator seemed like a step back. what's with the solid body again? and the whole time travel thing is getting to me... it wasn't that big of a deal before...but now, they're getting into the whole destiny thing which pisses me off. 12 monkeys did that the best...and now T3 is finally admitting the conclusion that 12 monkeys came to. When you time travel into the past...well, I don't want to ruin it, but..yeah...same conclusion as 12 monkeys.

anyways. WAY TOO MANY CHEESY LINES....
action was decent.

I almost cried when they ended the movie. Are they making another one? Seemed a little too mindless for me, all the movies i have seen latly are mindless. Not enough shots of the Indian motorcycle either. :(:(

The Matrix Reloaded was the last good movie i saw but once again the ending left me hanging and wanting to cry

Someone slap me if I'm wrong, but they asked Ang Lee to direct T3, but he turned it down to direct The Hulk. IMO I can see T3 being a better movie if Ang actually had directed it, but take what you can get :)

hehe, and maybe the Hulk would have been a better movie if Ang Lee hadn't directed it. :D

I watched T3 last night... I thought it was pretty good except for the ending. The ending just made me wonder whether there was going to be a T4. And yep, there were some humorous parts (to me at least). There was a time when I started laughing, but everyone else kept quiet, so I sat back embarassed :P

i'm sure there'll be a T4, T5, T6, and T7....
They better get rid of Arnold soon though (until the one where they send him back...3 times is it now?). I think there can be better terminators. but one thing that amazes me...in the beginning, where he's nekkid...he still got a tremendous body for a 50+ year old.

A Terminator 4, 5... Even 6?
Source: Empire Magazine, Clinton Friday, July 4, 2003

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines is set to bring in some healthy numbers at the box office this weekend, so what does producer Mario Kassar have to say about possible future installments?

He tells Empire magazine, "If this one's successful, then of course we'll think about Number 4. And then maybe Number 5 and Number 6. We have some ideas already, but you're not going to get them out of me today."

Okay I just say this last night. There was about 12 ppl total watching it. It was better than what I thought it would be. I think it explained all the events in the previous movies and came up with a more detailed timeline.

Arnold still looking good at his age although he looks like he lost some of his presence size wise. I like the ending fight scene where he goes You Are Terminated or something. Had a good Outer Limits/Twilight Zone ending.

I still think that T1 was the best and T2 a close second. This movie was okay. There were some inconsistancies, though: Who taught the T100 to look for the key to the truck? In T2 Sara Connor taught the T100 how to do it but that unit was destroyed at the end of that movie. Also, the T100 must have been programmed, before being sent into the past, to not kill humans (again, in T2, John Connor instructed the T100 not to kill).

But, hey, it's Hollywood...
