My oldest daughter turns 12 in a few weeks, and we've told her she can start babysitting for friends and neighbors. She is quite ambitious and, well, she has LOTS of experience with her six younger brothers and sisters.

So I ordered her some business cards ($5 from Vistaprint.com) and a "babysitter kit" from American Girls. I think that ran about $13.

I didn't tell anyone it was coming, it just showed up in the mail addressed to my daughter.

My daughter was thrilled, and my wife was speechless! She actually had tears in her eyes... I really wasn't expecting that kind of response! After all, I bring flowers home quite often, and I don't think they've ever generated tears!

I don't think he can afford 10 more children though. :(

Now I get kb0wwp's signature. Dang dude, I tell people I'd like to have five children and they gawk, you must be used to some pretty intense stares at the supermarket.
