NORTON system works has always messed up ALL my systems. I wont even use them for anti-virus. I use a free anti-virus called AVG. http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_index.php . Free updates and such, caught some viruses for me, makes me happy.

However I do agree, I do like ghost. That is the only thing I have liked. ghost runs flawless for me. But besides that, I hate all the other useless crap that is installed. It saves all my deleted files by default runs things by default. I am not a noob and do not want to be treated like one. All I need is anti-virus and back-up, not all the other stuff that comes with system works.

Actually, Some things auto-install and even when you deselect the option, it still doesn’t do what it should. It is also a resource hog, and anything it can do, I can get another program for free. When I say free, I mean legally free. Anti-virus, Firewall, Back-up, hard disk management, etc. I just don’t believe in paying for software, therefore I use open source products and other freeware. And I do pay for my own OS, i use win XP professional. And overall, you are right, 10 dollars is a killer deal for the Norton package.
