Did any of you guys see the footage of LeBron James' first summer league game? If so, what did you think?

The story and highlights of the game can be found at ESPN (http://espn.go.com/nba/news/2003/0708/1578302.html).

Personally, I thought he did great for his first NBA appearance. He showed the flair and energy for which he is known and put down 14 points and 7 rebounds in only 23 minutes. I wonder if he will end up starting at the PG position, though? He clearly has that Magic-like knack for passing, so I think he would do well.

One thing that this whole LeBron situation brings out is the bandwagon fans. I have been a Cavs fan my whole life, through tick and thin, so I hate being associated with the fans that are only interested in seeing James play.

i was definitely impressed with how he came out of the gate. it wasn't the 14 points....hell, against summer-league competition, who couldn't score 14 points? :hihi:

it was the 7 rebounds and 6 assists that made me take note. it definitely shows that he has the potential to become a well-rounded, solid contributor.

but i'm more interested to see how he fares once the preseason and actual season starts. you gotta remember, a lot of the summer league players are scrubs that probably won't even be in the league....
