IIIe and m100 both retail for $149 - the m100 has a newer OS installed (v:3.5 vs v:3.1) the m100 also has color faceplates. Without being able to "flash" the memory on either unit it makes more sense to me to get a m100 rather than the outdated IIIe. Other than that they are identical - here is a comparision chart for ALL handhelds.
