View Full Version : Arrrr E Matey!
Well, I just got back from seeing Pirates of the Caribbean. I was hesitant at first, because the trailers gave the film no credibility.
However, 2 hours later, I can honestly say that the blend of humor, suspense and action was well worth my 9 bucks. The acting was pretty decent, especially Johnny Depp's performance...i thought he did a great job. Of course there's Keira Knightley who I would love to see jogging on a beach in a thon...sorry, off-track there.
All in all a wonderful film, big fun for family and kids and i give it four fobby fingers up. It might even be a DVD purchase in the future.

I wait for another 2 weeks and spend $5 on a group ticket. :D I can't see myself going to see any new release anytime soon because of the ticket price. Next week, I'll be going to see T3 and two weeks from now, I'll be watching Pirates of the Carribean. ;)
yeah, i was hoping to see a matinee and pay 6 bucks, but my cousin and her friends decided to go out to dinner and stuff beforehand ;)

In the last week, I saw it three times.. of course it was on a cruise ship and didn't have to pay a penny for it (it was one of the things to do on the ship) but I can say I was very amused all three times. For no... specific reason (Keira Knightley)
i <3 keira knightley. LOL
Leebo, what cruise did you go on?

definitely very entertaining...
one thing my friends mentioned was that many of the scenes took stuff straight from the pirates of teh carribean ride in disney world. me, having a deprived childhood, did not know that.
but that's another thing to look out for.

Just saw this movie on Saturday. Definetly the best movie I've seen all year. Good blend of everything.

Given the origins of this film, I was quite surprised that the director actually pulled this one off. Johnny Depp did an excellent Keith Richards imitation for his Captain Jack Sparrow character. I was entertained to about 90% of the film, but the ending a bit rushed and waaaay too Hollywood.
