They said they couldn't confirm delivery date, but when I called they said they actually couldn't fulfill the order... WTF?!?!

I placed an order on Monday and they said htey couldn't deliver until Saturday. I have an email confirming saturday as the delivery date. Saturday came and no delivery. Saturday night bestbuy.com's people told me the shipment had been cancelled by the delivery contractor and they would not fulfill the order because they were no longer carrying the TV. They also said they have no obligation to fulfill ANY order made on the website. Monday I received an email stating they had cancelled the order because they could not confirm a delivery date.

They cancelled my order simply because the price was too cheap!
Staples is very good for keeping their words. I ordered two cheap laptops and they shipped directly from Taiwan to fulfill the orders. Let's support Staples and boycott those lying stores. That's the way how we can protect our own rights.

I think you're the first person to ever suggest supporting Staples...

The average time for a rebate to come is around 3 weeks, much faster than most other companies. And the average waiting time on a call to the customer service is about 30 seconds. I took me 20 min to talk to a Compusa guy.

In general, Staples is very good with rebates.
I don't know why Best Buy did what they did. My guess is someone screwed up when it was listed at $159 instead of $230 and they weren't willing to be upfront about it. They've pulled the TVs from all the stores and the website. And, as I mentioned, wiped the ad from their website 2 days early. Usually, the Sunday ad isn't up until early Sunday morning. This time it went up BEFORE Sunday.
Hmmm...didn't somebody get hauled into court for posting Sinday ads early? Wasn't Best Buy one of the stores bringing the lawsuit?

Yet another reason why I don't shop at Best Buy... They lost out on close to $2k in appliances when I bought my house 6 months ago, not that they could care, but I'd rather give someone else like Lowe's the business... End of rant:bigmouth:
