So I am on these two lovely new drugs to try and cure my ankle. Both are pain killers, but they work completely differently. Problem is I feel like the world is spinning on and off from the one, and the other one is making me want to sleep. All this and I am just beginning to get up to the prescribed dosage. Apparently, most people have side effects so you need to slowly increase your dose to make sure you can handle it.

I know of a few people who tried accupuncture as a means of last resort.

Both had very good success > just a thought

Hang in there.

Just an update, neither drug is doing crap for me. However, I am getting all of the side effects at some time or another. I didnt bother to read the side effects but my fiance did. She finally said that I should take a look at the side effects because I am THE poster boy for them all.

Nope, I am still taking them. I have a doctor appt next week, so figuring that its not going to harm me to take these drugs I paid for all the way through, I figured I will finish out the run of this dosage.

You know....some people willingly pay to have that happen to them....;)

Sucks that it's not working for you man...hope the doctor can do something for you.

Of course the fact that I have been trying to read VERY mind numbing material on top of the drugs is probably making the drowsiness side effect even more pronounced....that coupled with my now lowered attention span, makes studying a royal pain in the buttocks.

I am going to have the doc take me off this batch of drugs on Wednesday so hopefully he will give me something that actually works and lets me think at the same time!

Sue who? Its disclosed on the side effects...not any cause of action.

Well today I found out that the pharmacist apparently screwed up the dosing of the drug. I was supposed to be taking 3x the dose of the one and the other one six more times a day.

Either way, the doc figured that the one should have had some effect either way and took me off of it. Gave me Vicodin in its place. He also put me on some other med that is designed as a anti-depressant but works on nerve pains as well.

If this doesnt work, time for the big needle. :bawl: :dead:

Ok, well the last bout of drugs did not work. So he switched me up again...supposedly to one that is going to make me "wacky." If this doesnt work, he wants to try an experimental botox treatment before the big 10" needle.
