spigidygak, heh. There are some prominent sites out there that have not seized control of certain desirable names. For example, job applicants to a giant corporation ****** have at various times sent resumes to me by accident (due to the utility name I picked); I forward them on to the right place unless I see a CC: name other than mine. I just can't believe they didn't claim that name; oh well, I like sitting on that email name. Usually, I assume that places have allocated and assigned all the good names like root, webmaster, abuse, spigidygak, etc, but not always. It's something they should do right away, if for nothing else to sell to their best customers. Kinda like if AOL forgot to seize control of names like "[email protected]" or "[email protected]" or "[email protected]" before they let users pick names (way back in 1985).
