Yeah so i'm going off to college next fall and i'm in need of a decent car alarm for a more then decent price. I'm looking for a Clifford or maybe Viper. Does anyone have a kick ass car alarm they wish to tell me about? Or a good alarm currently installed on your car that is just kick ass? Please tell me!!!

I did the same thing when I left for college. I got a Viper installed, and it's a good alarm. The only problem I don't like is that EVERYONE has one. It's sometimes hard to tell which alarm is yours from far away. I also spent alot of money on mine so I made sure I had the works. I have: starter kill, hood, and trunk sensors, a backup battery and a balance sensor. Total I think it ran my close to 300. Thus far (knocking on wood) no one has broken in to my car. Unfortunately all the good stuff is inside the car, so if they get in and aren't scared by the alarm they get everything inside but they don't get my car.

I sometimes wonder how many people actually notice that a car alarm is going off. If you can make it look like the car is yours that you just set it off on accident who really notices.
