Know what you mean. I have a former coworker that I still work with on some projects who's like that. He's a nice guy, but when you ask a question, you just have to ignore the first answer he gives.

Another friend is like that, but not so much in person, mainly on email. I'll send a message with a real question, and he'll respond with some smart-alec answer. The problem with him, is that you never will get a straight answer, unless you reply with something like "ha ha, now how about the real answer...?"

It's almost as if he doesn't consider email a "real" form of communication.

To tell you the truth, I prefer people who have a LARGE sense of humor over serious anally retentive basket cases.:P
