Indiana, Sacramento and San Antonio are on the verge of a three-team trade that would send Brad Miller to the Kings, ESPN.com has learned. The deal would foil attempts by Utah and Denver to sign the free-agent center.

HERE'S THE DEAL (SO FAR)
Kings get: C Brad Miller
Pacers get: F/C Scot Pollard
Spurs get: G/F Hedo Turkoglu and G Ron Mercer

The deal calls for Indiana to sign Miller to a multiyear deal and ship him to the Kings, who consider him the ideal long-term replacement for Vlade Divac, the 35-year-old center entering the final year of his contract.

As part of the exchange, Indiana would receive Scot Pollard as a replacement for Miller, after the Pacers determined that they couldn't absorb the luxury-tax implications of meeting Miller's money demands.

The deal would have to involve at least one more player to satisfy salary-cap requirements and it was not immediately known whom the Spurs would be including.

As the trade is constructed, the Spurs would receive swingmen Hedo Turkoglu and Ron Mercer as potential replacements for free agent Stephen Jackson. Turkoglu and Mercer are both in the final year of their contracts, preserving San Antonio's salary-cap flexibility for next summer when it must re-sign Manu Ginobili. Jackson is seeking a long-term deal.

it's okay... the kings still have enough ugliness to last the nba for a looong time.

Can someone explain something to me? How can the spurs receive players but don't send anyone to anybody in this trade?

i haven't seen the details of the trade, but it looks like it has to do with the salary cap.

SA is so far under the cap for the year that they can take on more players (and the salary that comes with them) without having to give up other players (and salary). so my understanding is that they're getting a really good deal as other teams have to unload players to make things work under the cap. i think.....it doesn't entirely make sense to me either though.

i just heard on the radio that they haven't figured out who the spurs will send...so the trade is incomplete

Just more Fakers smack talking... They haven't played a game yet and they already won a championship. I remembered the FAkers FANatics said the same @ the start of the season last year.
