I'm wondering where I can order checks...I got some temp checks from my bank, but never used them, becuase I never had to, I've always used my check card. But now, I Wanna pay some bills with checks, and was wondering where I can order come cheap checks. Becuase the ones that the bank sells you are like 12 bijillion bucks for like 2 sets of checks!

GAM....didnt' know where to post this...so I thought this was pretty off topic :)

I got mine from www.checksunlimited.com and got the garfield one. They usually advertise in those junk mail coupon circulars. I got mine with a special like get another set for free or something.

Okay as a follow up question, when should you reorder checks? I moved so I should order a whole new set with check numbers starting after the last check number from the old address right. Also I should burn all the outdated checks right? I usually use all my checks and reorder when I run out. It's a stupid question but I'm a stupid guy :P

Most of the companies that advertise in the mail circulars/sunday newspaper ads will suit you just fine... around $10 for a few sets sometimes.

My checks are plain, carbonless jobbies from my bank. Nice and cheap. Y'all do know that once you write a check, it barely gets seen by a human, right? Damn near the entire process is automated. Why spend the extra $ just to present a pretty picture to a scanner?

Most banks will at least give you your first box of checks for free. Sounds like your bank is skimping out on you! :hmm:

Fortunately checks last a long time with me. I only write one a month for rent. Everything else is done online.

I use WAMU too, and their books-of-checks prices are stoopidly high. They want you to upgrade from their free checking to their "gold" checking, which comes with free checks.
