You can still get that $29.99 DSL thing from SBC, for most people its just $8 more than their current dial up and obviously much better.

it looks a little sketchy to me. from how they're describing it, it sounds like it *might* help you achieve better speeds from sites you vist all the time (ie viewing threads at GA might be somewhat quicker).

but it doesn't seem like it's going to speed up downloads, etc. if you're on a connection that, due to line conditions, cannot pull more than a 28.8 connection, their "optimization" software isn't going to help you get to 100kbs+
