Ok...so i just paid 600 bucks to some dood selling car audio equipment. I emailed him in private regarding his ebay postings to get a packaged rate since i was thinking of getting a couple of things. Anyways, he's a premier verified seller and i'm a verified buyer. What are the chances that I'll get my money back if it never ships...? I'm worried since its off ebay listings, and the only proof i have is the transaction reciept and our emails. do i just file a complaint and hope to god that they give me money back? He has not responded email ever since i paid, before that he was as fast as lightening. And the reason i trusted him is cuz he had some good reason saying he was building up feedback to sell on ebay, dats why everything was so cheap...so yea, i know a lot of you guys used paypal, help me with my dilemma!!! His sn on ebay is rjautosound

yeah, first fill out a buyer complaint form.

Psh. Forget the buyer complaint form. If you used your credit card, do the dispute with them. Sure, Paypal doesn't like it, but that's the only way you'll get your money back. Even if you win with Paypal's own dispute program, you won't get the money back unless they have money in their account.

Report it to Paypal and they should give you a full refund; I've done this several times before. They contact the person in question and give them one week to provide proof that either they refunded you the money, or that they've shipped the item. If they do provide proof, Paypal leaves the case open no matter what, and you have to actually close it yourself (so if the person says they sent you the items, and they tell Paypal this but they can't prove it - you can wait and see if you get the items or not and if you don't get them, then allow Paypal to further investigate the matter, etc). If they do NOT provide proof within that 7 day period, then Paypal will refund you the money.
This is the way it's worked for me in the past, and again - I've had to resort to this a few times in the last year because of deadbeat sellers. Hell, right now there's some lowlife I sent money to that I'm waiting to hear a single peep out of; I'm just glad all's I spent was $2.75 on a music cd even though it was a money order I had to send, if I lose out, it's only three bucks.

Thanks for the info, this gives me some hope of seeing my hard earned money back. Deadbeat sellers should all get thrown into jail..argh.

how long has it been since you've paid him?
i've found that some sellers, once they have your information and your payment, basically quit corresponding with you. they've shipped the stuff and don't want to mess with it anymore.
so if it's only been a few days, it may be on the way.....but i don't know your situation.
