how is this magazine? good? sucky?

No, this magazine is absolutely horrible. I subscribed when it first came out, then called Mixxzine, and it was an excellent publication - hardly any ads, opportunities to get points to get prizes, and four *excellent* different manga (comics). I loved Sailormoon, Rayearth, and Parasyte, and the final one was Ice Blade which I didn't personally like, but whatever. As the magazine evolved (in a rather backwards manner), Sailormoon was removed due to complaints that mixing it and Parasyte were not good for young readers; it was then spun off into another cheap publication called Smile, obviously in an attempt to get more money. The comics were shrunk so that two normal pages fit on one, and the magazine grew full of ads and other junk. It's a horrible gross carcass of what it once was.

To be honest, it sucks. However, I have never paid a dime for their mag neither. Can't really complain about it. (if my friend who works in Tokyopop sees this, I don't really mean it sucks, just have lots of room to improve). http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/smile.gif
