Buy.com carries this item for $74.95 but it's on sale for $40.94. Use the $10 off $30 link good for new or returning customers to add this discount to your cart.
http://www.us.buy.com/promo/80271156.asp

(Seems their coupons are having problems right now.)

Then search for item # 10011417. Your total will be $30.94. This product comes with a $30 rebate from Microsoft leaving a balance of just $.94 and shipping! (And sales tax for those in California.)

Sweet! Can't get better than that. Unless of course you could buy it for less than $30. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/smile.gif

Thanks Maggie.

Any game that needs a joystick will work just great with this... I got one about a month ago for $2.55 ($52.55-$20-$30). I like it.

it should be a little sticker on the front of the box..maybe somebody peeled it off b4 sending it? ( I've seen people do that at stores...:) ) Or I heard something about contacting MS or something

Just got mine and no rebate also... Has anyone gotten any satisfaction from MS? I need to call them tomorrow but I feel I'm wasting my time... Has anyone else?

I also got short changed with the rebate. I called the number 1-800-622-4445, and they explained how to redeem the rebate. May want to give it a try.

Printable rebate form. I think.

I don;t know how someone could just peel off the rebate sticker. It would have torn the shrink wrap, because you would need both pieces of the sticker to redeem the rebate. I notice this one has a USB adapter. What's the difference between this model, and the one $10 more at Buy.com(I thought it was a USB interface)?

jng, I don't know if you forgot or they didn't tell you this, but they told me to also enclose the entire box top, along with the receipt/packing slip. Also you must send it in within one month of when you bought it.

I just found this page, which explains the rebate: http://www.microsoft.com/catalog/display.asp?rb=155&subid=22

Gawd... Microsoft seems so picky on this. Kind of weird cosidering I have 2 dead Intellimouse Explorer mice and I will be getting a new one soon. They don't ask you to send the broken one back to them. Plus, they send it second day air. :)

Maybe I can fix the other 2. Then I will have 3 Intellimouse Explorers for the $30 I spent on the first one (with a deal from GotApex, of course :D) when they first came out.

How ironic, Speedfreak. My intellimouse explorer crapped out a few nights ago, but I can't find contact information anywhere to send it back to get a replacement. Do you have that info handy by chance?
