Hoepfully this is not a repost... but has anyone seen this? It looked interesting. But then again the XFL looked interesting. Oh well I don't have cable anyway but thought I might see what others thought

It is ok at first but gets boring very quickly. I agree with DF that it is non-stop running to the goal and scoring. They are now trying to market it like WWF or something like that. In my opinion it ramped up and jumped the shark after the 2nd or 3rd show.

my roommate was watching the slamball draft last night, and i happened to catch a little bit of it.
i was surprised by something...
have any of you seen the documentary "Hoop Dreams?" one of the two kids they followed in the film, Arthur Agee, was drafted by one of the slamball teams...
i just thought it was interesting, cuz i often wondered what happened to those kids...

Really? Interesting. I did not know that.
I like watching SlamBall... partly because... actually being good a basketball seems to help in Slamball. It's not just a totally made up sport.
Anyways, it gets a :thumb: from me.
Dave.
You'll never believe this, but in the tryouts episode of Slamball, one of the players got the worst injury I've ever seen - his foot basically FELL OFF.
They showed it quickly, is foot was hanging by the skin of his ankle, flipped 90 degrees up towards his leg. It was really the most awful sight I've probably ever seen in sports. I've seen guys grimmace more over getting the wind knocked out of them - this guy was a real trooper or was just numb, because he held his head high the whole way through.
Wowza...
