My wife is looking for a cell phone, preferably with PDA functions. She's pretty rough on her phones, a little drop here, a little moisture there. Is there any brand/model that is more durable than the rest, outside of a marine phone? Of course, the phone has to be cute also. Barring an indestructible pink phone, is there a brand/store that has a more liberal warranty? Those bastards at Rat Shack wouldn't honor the service contract because they said one of the buttons had corrosion damage, which wasn't covered.
Any help is appreciated

You're looking for a "cute" phone that has PDA features? I thought all of those were bulky and ugly, but that's just me.
You'll have to work with an actual provider to get a good deal on something like that. You may want to hit up an actual cell phone store instead of Radio Shack. They're big on Sprint PCS over there. If you want to stick with your current provider, find a store that offers ONLY Sprint products. For instance, I'm a Verizon user, and we get our stuff from a Verizon Store instead of mall kiosks or other stores. Besides, when you buy a phone at an actual store, they'll typically give you 20% off of accessories.
The Handspring Treo is one that I've seen take a beating from a professor I've been around all summer. His seems to take a licking and keep on ticking regardless of how much he drops it. As far as waterproofing or moistureproofing, that's where you'll probably have trouble. It's hard to make those anything-"proof" without it being marine-based. One thing you should check into is cell phone insurance -- it's available at a mostly low cost to cover damages, which sounds like something you could use.
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it until someone else shows me a better way.
