Screw you NFL, Chargers, and Ticketmaster!
Why is it that regular people CANNOT buy tickets for big games..ie..Superbowl, Playoffs, and now.. Monday Night Football!

Charger tickets went on sale last sunday at 10:00am. I go to a ticketmaster outlet in the middle of nowhere so that there wouldn't be anyone else vying for MNF tickets. I'm the only person there....and to my surprise.. at 10:01 the game is sold out!?!?! How the hell can that be?! I REALLY hate the fact that any "Big" game in the nfl, 99% of the tickets are handed out to VIPs and the likes. You know, it's not like i'm some diehard Chargers fan, but i DO live in San Diego, and I DO love football..and crap like this just pisses me off to no end. I find it hard to believe that a team that only sold out ONE game last year (Raiders) somehow has legions of fans now. I understand most of the east coast teams are constantly sold out and the waiting lists for season tickets are years..so what's the excuse for San Diego? ARGH!@!

By the way..there's PLENTY of tickets available for the Bengals game!
Why not give those tickets away and let an average Joe see a good game for a change?

I was going to buy a mini pack (4 games) the week before the public sale went on, but i was told that Denver, Miami, Oakland and Green Bay had pretty much sold out already. I thought to myself...there's always next year.

Those mini packs and season tickets went on sale 2 months ago and i hesitated back when the sale initially started, as i could have had tickets to the 4 games that i wanted...but since i waited i lost my chance.

for future seasons, i would highly suggest purchasing a mini pack...and this goes for most sporting events. if you purchase a season ticket package (mini packs are considered season tickets) you always get better seats and better games, than if you tried to wait in line the day they went on public sale.

yeah, it sucks how a majority of the good football tix disappear as part of season ticket "packages" before anyone has a chance to buy a single game tix :(

it especially sucks how ticketmaster allows themselves to be manipulated by brokers who buy up huge blocks of tix that they can sell off later at huge profits

Well, the Season ticket packages and mini packs are sold by the team themselves and there are no b.s. fees involved. there might be a minor shipping and handling fee of a few bucks, but that's it. When i was living in boston i had a 10-game minipack to the Celtics. they charged me $3.00 for shipping costs...besides that, tickets were sold to me without stupid fees.

Yeah, that really steams me. Wait in line, call on the phone, go online - try all the legitimate ways to get a ticket, and the best you can do is nosebleed seats. Call around for a scalper, and they can put you in the first 10 rows with no problem (for 2-5x the face value, of course).

yeah...prices just suck for nfl games..

I just cross my fingers every year...hoping my company hooks me up for the corp box.

Just an FYI... I know this is kinda reaffirming your point, but I was able to buy MNF tickets for the Seahawks vs. 49ers (in seattle) for less than face value last year off Ebay. I got two front row tickets in the end zone for less than $80 just two weeks before the game off Ebay. Hell, I was 50 feet away from Terrell Owens and sharpie-gate.

If you ever have a chance to go to a MNF game, I highly suggest it. The crowd gets going like nothing I've ever heard before.
