APEX AD600A Secret Menu?

I just baought an apex dvd player manufacttured 1/2000 and I'm just wondering if anyone figured out a way to make the secret menu show up again, or do I have to downgrade my firmware?

Take the dvd player. Flip it upside down (be very careful not to drop) then sing "Welcome to the jungle" by G&R and throw it in a tub of water unplugged of course (lukewarm) after 20 min. take it out let dry. Rub gently with towel and tell it to show you the secret menu. Sometimes it works let me know. Good luck!

I tried it, but when i plugged it back nothing happened, screen is now blank and nothing seems to work?!? HELP!!! Maybe it's because I played the CD instead of singing the song? http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif
