$429 – 65 MIR – 65 MIR = $299 + shipping (one rebate requires only a copy of UPC)
If you live outside of the 13 states that have a B&M store, you shouldn’t have to pay sales tax.

17" LCD @ MicroCenter SKU#618272 (http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0159682)

Looks like a good deal considering it has a very low response time. What does everyone else think about this brand? I can't find any reviews on it tho.

Cool. How does it handle games? I'm very interested bc of the price and the fast 16ms response time.

I have the hitachi LCD with a 16ms response and it handles games wonderfully. You will barely notice the difference. The only real drawback is some really dark game scenes can be a little hard to see but they are few and far between. I play alot of the Enemy Territory mod for RTCW and it excellent.

Well, I purchased it for my mother who had a Dell 18" UltraSharp and found the screen to large for her. We traded ;)

Pretty good deal for me. But, honestly, I think the Daewoo has a very fine image and I'll load up a FSP tommorrow to check it out.

I just bought it yesterday. Mine was a "returned" one though It was bought ealier and returned the same day. Some guy didn't like how the base felt when you pulled it up. Felt like it was going to snap. So I bought it. Get this...I got it for $299 on the spot. It's because I noticed that one of the rebates requires the serial number and the guy took both serial numbers off the box and taped back on the upc code. So I qualify for only one $65 rebate. So when I send it in I could get this monitor for $235 before tax.

I do worry however if this will affect my warranty or my rebate in anyway. And the guy who returned basically made off with $65 bucks since one rebate requires a copy of the upc and sales receipt. The other rebate needs the original upc, serial number sticker and sales receipt. He might get that one too.

Woohoo. I finally got email confirmation that my 65 dollar rebate is confirmed and being sent out. Cool beans.
