View Full Version : Changes I want to make in my life

I think I'm finally about to overcome the bad inertia that's been holding me back in so many areas. In no particular order, I want to:

1 - Start getting up earlier, eat a good breakfast, and hit the elliptical trainer and weights before my morning shower.
2 - Cut back on coffee, and eventually eliminate it.
3 - Keep working on my interpersonal relationships. Most of them are coming along nicely. :)
4 - Get my ass MCSA and CCNA certified. And the rest of me too.
5 - Get a different car.
6 - Get out of my studio apartment and into a one-bedroom when my lease is up. (The specific location will partly depend on how things go with a certain someone.)
7 - Finish reading all the books I bought when I started this period of reinventing myself.
8 - Come to better terms that down days are strictly temporary things, and are not to be construed as bad omens. I'm nearly there, which is why my inner poet has died.

5 - Is your current one giving you unnecessary troubles or is it that you'd be happier with something else (or both)?

7 - I know what you mean, I've been reading the fifth Harry Potter since the night it came out and I still have 100 pages left... I've been zonking after 2-3 pages lately at night. Maybe finishing your books will be analogous to tying up other loose ends in your life. Who knows :)

Stop sitting around thinking how you can get out and improve your life-because I think you issued this same list last year didn't you? There is only one way to make things happen...stop talking and JUST DO IT..oh yeh, and good luck :)

btw, I made a similar list a couple years ago and there is no finish line, just a better life style.

OC, you damn well know I can't resist these...

1 - Hit the weights after your shower. Chicks dig sweaty guys.
2 - It's much easier if you substitute coffee with something else. Like heroin.
3 - Not getting caught stalking someone isn't "coming along nicely".
4 - Like those are useful.
5 - Get something manly, like a VW Cabriolet.
6 - Yeah, the last thing I'd want to see while cooking is my toilet.
7 - Did the pages get stuck together?
8 - No, you're wrong. Life sucks. It only gets worse.
