Pop Up Windows

Anyone know to stop the pop up windows when you close a window in MSIE 5.0? I can't stand those sites where after every window you close it pops up 2 more "spam" websites.

I know in netscape if you disable java or javascript (I think its javascript but I can't remember for sure) it will stop those windows. I imagine IE has a similar setting in the advanced tab in internet options but I have never looked for it before.

i know this doesnt' really help but i remember seeing a program that prevented that a couple months ago, try searching for it on www.winfiles.com (http://www.winfiles.com) , www.tucows.com (http://www.tucows.com) and www.downloads.com (http://www.downloads.com)

Apparently one wayyy too many. A porn site too far (reminiscent of <A href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0792839730/o/qid=958599686/sr=8-1/ref=aps_sr_v_1_1/103-7281231-5179830" target="_new">a bridge too far)</a>.

One solution is to have two computers (or more) side by side cruising the porn sites. Which I never do of course. http://www.geocities.com/sbp7777/files/wink2.gif
