:D My bf got it for me this weekend, and i absolutely love it!! we're not sure of the sex yet (apparently it's hard to tell on birds), so i don't know what to name it yet... thinking "Tiki". it's super friendly, and loves sitting on my shoulder. i left for a bit, and when i came home he got all excited to see me, and started squawking and running all over the cage to get my attention so i'd play with him! anyway, just wanted to share!

Yeah, if they like you, they get excited to see you when you come home. And sometimes they will start yelling your ear off after you wake them up, by taking the blankets off their cages. My g/f cracks me up, most of the time she'll pick up DoDo (the bird) and DoDo will be going off, and PG will be saying "Yes, really.... oh i think so too.... don't you hate when that happens..... oh i know pretty bird, i'm sorry" until the bird shuts up, it's quite entertaining.

You should start watching the bird to watch for it's poop squat, as you will know when to take it off you and make it poop on the floor. Of course if/when it does poop on you, you can just take off the actual poop, and the rest just washes out of your clothes. Just don't let it do it's business on your head :P

hahahahah... yeah, i definitely gotta pay more attention!! i've gotten pooped on twice thus far!

and Cheesypuff, no it doesn't talk, which might be a good thing cuz otherwise i doubt it would shut up! :P it doesn't sing either, so far anyway. apparently that will be my indication that it's a male, if it starts singing. if not, it's a chick!

well the chest seems to stick out more than a male's, plus the spaghetti strap... i think its a female. i dont know about the bird though.

Have fun cleaning up the seeds. Man..we bought 2 cockatiels and they make the BIGGEST freakin' mess. Everyday there's seeds spread out in a 4 foot radius from their cage.

Tip: If you cover your bird at night, it won't wake up at 6am screaming :)

My g/f's does it every morning. and if it's towels aren't off by 9, it's sqwaks about ever minute. just loud enough to keep you from sleeping...:|
